There is only one way to eliminate food cravings permanently, and that is to eliminate the acid waste that causes them. Semi Raw Potatoes
The beneficial effects of semi-raw potatoes are long-term. You need to make them a regular part of the diet for two to five months before they decrease hunger, but they heal inflamed gastrointestinal tissues and acid reflux sometimes in a few weeks. You can add vegetables to make a more nutritious and filling meal. (For many people with acid reflux, this is about the only food they can digest.)
A small frying pan is preferable to a pot because the potatoes can be cooked in much less water. This makes for a greater concentration in the water of potato flavor as well as nutrients so that it is has a very pleasant taste. This makes it easier to drink the cooking water, so you are less likely to pour it down the drain.
Grated potatoes make a good side dish at dinner. They are worth the trouble that preparing them entails because they contain so much mucilage, and this curbs the appetite, sometimes in as little as three or four days.
First peel the potatoes. This releases more mucilage. Then grate. Grating the potatoes splits open the fiber so the heat can release the mucilage. Place the potato slivers in an 8-inch frying pan. Add water, but don’t quite cover the potato slivers. (If you add too much water to the potato, not as much mucilage is released.) Put a lid on the pan. Turn the heat to medium-high, and after the mixture starts to bubble, keep the heat medium-high for 2 or 3 minutes and then turn it to medium or low and continue cooking for 5 to 10 minutes. It is sometimes necessary to add a little more water. In 10 to 15 minutes, but sometimes sooner, a gummy mass should form. The potato slivers should be soft because the point of the cooking is not to preserve enzymes and vitamins but to release as much mucilage as possible.
Variation of Grated Potato Recipe
Peel one large potato and grate. Melt 3 teaspoons of butter in an 8- inch frying pan. Add the grated potato slivers and 8 teaspoons of water. Cook at medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes. Turn down the heat and cook for about 4 more minutes or until the potato slivers are soft.
Alkalinizing Potato Water
Drink one or more glasses of this potato water daily. After drinking the potato water for two or three months, excessive hunger disappears. Slice two medium-sized potatoes with the skins left on, and place in a small pan. Cover with more than enough water to fill a mug, because some of the water vaporizes. Bring to a boil, turn down the heat, and simmer for 15 minutes. Drain the water into a mug and throw out the potatoes because all the nutrients in the potatoes have leached into the water
